May Fair

  • Norman Firehouse Art Center 444 South Flood Avenue Norman, OK, 73069 United States (map)

Assistance League Norman, along with Historic Campus Corner and Firehouse Art Center, are happy to collaborate to bring May Fair Arts festival 2025. This annual event has grown from a county fair to a multi-day arts festival with children's entertainment including rides and art activities, a 5K race and an entertainment stage with live, local musical acts and organizations. Apply to be a part of May Fair, application due April 19th!

The fair began in large part to give local artists and crafters a place to show their work long before Norman had an arts council or an art-focused downtown. Since then, the fair has extended to other community needs.

There are a variety of free events for adults and children. One of these free events is the Art Yard where children do hands-on art projects and activities provided by the Firehouse Art Center.

The May Fair will also host a student art show, and numerous artists and artisans work on display and for sale.

The 5K race is an activity associated with the fair that is not free. The Operation School Bell 5K is a fundraiser that benefits the programs of Assistance League Norman. Those taking part in the race will receive a t-shirt and a swag bag from local community partners. The race is a chip timed event and will be run on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. The registration fee is $35 prior to the race and $40 the day of the race. There is also a 1 mile Fun Run for children of all ages for a $35 registration fee. The 5K will begin at 8:30am and the Fun Run will begin at 9:00am.

Assistance League is a non-profit organization serving Norman and surrounding communities by giving time and financial support to a variety of philanthropic programs to help improve our community. Campus Corner is home to one of the best shopping, dining, and college game day experience.
