On display from September 14th - November 4th, WAKING UP by Maria Cristina Mercado & Qvetzal is an international collaborative exhibition between the Firehouse Art Center and the Universidad de Guadalajara, Centro Universitario De La Costa, Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico.
This project is built from an exchange of views. One is intimate, which is austere and analogous, and the other evokes an awakening from the outside. In this crossroads in the form of an encounter, the technical is resolved with color and drawing, from the pure act of drawing to the complexity of the digital. Both paths result in this contrasting dialogue between the pieces in this exhibition. WAKING UP is an invitation to make our days a daily exercise in living life with passion.
